Go to the left side of the building and enter the left door at the top of the stairs. Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: A Packer, Picker Packer, or Sorter is a warehouse employee responsible for fulfilling orders by arranging inventory in shipping containers (boxes) and preparing them for storage or shipment. Their duties include interpreting order packing slips to determine which items need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments, and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging. Weighing packages and labeling them appropriately Inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged Inspecting shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulations Assembling daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categories Keeping records of packages including delivery notes/packing slips Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately Cleaning shipping containers and other shipping supplies Requires long periods of standing Basic Qualifications: 3 months' warehouse experience 3 months' experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment. Develop a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures Able to read, write, and communicate effectively as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) 3 months warehouse experience Salary: $18.50 per hour- Full time.
