Graduate students are invited to join us on November 4th, at 1:00 PM in Room 207 of the Campus Y for Elizabeth Anker's seminar. Dr. Anker's research promises to be engaging and stimulating. Elizabeth S. Anker is Professor of Law and Associate Professor in the Department of English at Cornell University. She has published and taught in the areas of human rights and humanitarianism, comparative constitutional law, law and literature, law and development, postcolonial studies, critical race theory, feminist jurisprudence, animal rights, immigration law, and legal and political theory.
Her seminar will build on themes from her lecture on November 3rd. This seminar experience offers graduate students unique opportunities to connect in a small group setting with Dr. Anker.
To prepare for the seminar please read the introduction to Dr. Anker's book, On Paradox: The Claims of Theory. The introduction will be attached to this site ASAP.
