With a lifetime passion for history, she spent 27 years inspiring students at Girls Preparatory School to learn more about their world through classes such as the Modern Presidency and Global Conflicts. She also served as faculty advisor for GPS’s Partnerships in the Community Council, playing an instrumental role in encouraging student involvement in area nonprofits. In 2016, she was the recipient of the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools' Hubert Smothers Excellence in Teaching Award, and was named by the American Lung Association of Chattanooga as a Woman of Distinction.We will have awards for this year's achievements!Doors open at 11 - Looking forward to seeing you there!Looking ahead: December 7 luncheon will feature Katie Harbison, President/CEO Chambliss Center for Children. We will present Chambliss with our donations for sharing gifts with the children. We will also have a gift exchange amongst ourselves, bring something!
