Our Work: Concrete Curb and Paving was established in 1982 and exclusively paves concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks and drivelanes for new residential land development/construction around the Denver metro area. Our customers are some of the largest homebuilders in the country including Richmond, NASH, Century. We do no marketing and have enjoyed the same customer relationships for 35+ years. The Position The Shop Foreman manages and performs the scheduled maintenance program, all repairs, modifications, and replacement of all company-owned vehicles and motorized mobile equipment. We have a fleet consisting of motor graders, rollers, loaders, scrapers, skid steers, light and medium duty trucks, lowboy, dump truck, various trailers, small saws/engines and slip form pavers. This is a working position that will perform the work solo, with other company employees or scheduled with vendors to accomplish the work. Critical success factors will be: maximize mechanical availability, prevent equipment breakdown, know your cost, manage fleet age thresholds. Candidate will also have an innovative and client focus approach and will work well as part of the project team. Specific Duties: • Oversees, updates and performs the scheduled maintenance program for truck and heavy equipment fleet • Using the GPS tracking system, develop and manage maintenance planning- oversee maintenance records • Daily monitoring of electronic DVIR system to know communicated issues from the field • Keep equipment issues tracker up to date and communicates issues out to key stakeholders to ensure problems, nature of repair and status of repairs are understood and followed up on • Prioritizes and performs unscheduled and emergency repairs in the field. Schedules with vendors when necessary • Orders replacement parts ensuring that parts are correct and complete at the time of order • Diagnoses and troubleshoots machine and engine malfunctions and failures • Reads and understands the manufacture’s’ Operation, Maintenance, Party and Service Manuals per machine type and complies with its contents • Develop and mentor staff in best practices in daily equipment maintenance. Alert field mgmt of behaviors or practices that need correction. Facilitates training where needed working with field mgmt • Communicate professionally with clients, stakeholders and employees • Fosters relationships with key suppliers and vendors • Ensure compliance with all company safety and quality policies, practices and procedures • Manages inventory levels of common supplies in shop and yard Qualifications: • 3+ years of mechanic repair and maintenance experience with heavy equipment • Strong leadership and organizations skills. Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office suite Preferred Skills & Qualifications • Experience with hydraulic cylinder repair • Experience with and operational knowledge of modern slip form pavers • Experience with equipment tracking programs such as Verizon Reveal • Active CDL license • Financial and equipment cost accounting experience Our Benefits: • Competitive base pay plus bonus and incentive programs- we hire quality people for the long haul.
