**THIS PRESENTATION DATE IS FOR ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY ONLY** The program’s goal is to provide motorcycle operators with skills to avoid or minimize collisions while enjoying their ride. The course, taught by certified motor officers, focuses on the same riding techniques used by police motor officers every day. The class is 7 hours of “hands-on” motorcycle training, presented in one day, with lunch provided. If you have a desire to challenge your riding skills and increase your safety on the road, register now. Completion of this training meets the Navy's requirements for Level 2 training or 5 year re-certification. The training course will focus on low-speed maneuvering, proper head and eye placement, clutch and throttle use, emergency braking, evasive maneuvers, and cornering. This training is not recommended for new riders. Participants must supply their own motorcycle and safety equipment. A valid motorcycle license is required. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
