Come investigate this wonderful mansion and its residents. In 1794, Selma was built by General Andrew Porter around an existing structure purchased from Alexander McCammon in 1786. Porter was a soldier during the American Revolutionary War and helped found the Continental Marines, forerunner of the U.S. Marine Corps. The last family member to live in the house was Ruth Ryder Forance, after her death the house was given to the Preservation Society. Ages 14 and up.
