Hearts on Fire Afterschool program, an art and music program empowering youth from marginalized communities is seeking a bus driver to transport 20-25 students from Banksville Elementary School to our Hearts on Fire facility at 2350 Noblestown Road Pittsburgh 15205. The bus route is a 2 mile, one-way drop off, Monday-Fridays. Hearts on Fire Afterschool program offers support to families and students in multiple areas such as providing adult supervision, help with homework and engaging them in a fun, self-esteem building arts activity. All program art activities, in the areas of mixed media, painting, drawing, collage, drumming, voice and music are based on a theme supporting wholeness and well- being. Hearts on Fire Afterschool Program plans to meet the needs of the community by providing after school care for working and underserved families where students can continue to thrive academically out-of-school with homework assistance, feel supported with caring instructors and programs facilitators in a safe, nurturing place where they can also express themselves through the arts. Through the Afterschool program, students find inspiration, hope and love through creative expression and life-giving fundamentals.
