nanny with 30 years experience

Description

Looking for a nanny position close to home. (close to the HEB on Slaughter/Manchaca) I have over 30 years experience in childcare, including running my own registered childcare out of my home for 14 years and raising my own two children who are 17 and 20 years old. Long story short, after running a daycare out of my home for such a long time, I needed a break. I've had a couple of office admin jobs and I'm not happy where I'm at right now, so I'm looking for something new and I'm ready to get back into the childcare scene. I miss a lot about being around kids, but I'm not ready to start running a daycare out of my home again, so I'm looking to find a nanny gig. I have experience with all ages. Infants (including preemies), twins, toddlers, pre-school, and school-age. I enjoy planning out a day of fun activities and learning opportunities, outside time, snack, naps (or resting) and reaching milestones. My favorite two things to do with kids are reading and arts/crafts. I have a senior at Akins HS and although he can drive, we just don't have an extra vehicle for him and I need to be available to take him to and from school. That being said, I either would prefer to have a later start time, or I can start as early as 6am as long as I'd have permission to bring your child along with me to take my son to school and perhaps pick him up as well. Classes for high school start at 8:45am, but due to his extra-curricular activities of band, mock trial, honor society, and others, his start time can be anywhere from 7:00am to 8:45am. His pick-up time is usually anywhere from 5pm to 8pm. (All times are negotiable and if you're not okay with me transporting your child, I'm open to talking about it to figure out what works best for all involved) I have an excellent driving record. I haven't had any tickets of any kind or had any accidents for over 20 years. Ideal start date would be December 1st, but I can start immediately as well. I'd love to be able to get out of my current job as soon as possible. I do have some planned days off already, though, so I'd need to discuss those with you if you'd like to start before December 1st. I'm open to negotiate pay rate, but I do currently make $750.00 a week where I'm at, so definitely would not want to go below that (at least by very much), but obviously the age of the child, the number of hours needed, and the number of children will determine negotiation rates. Please email first and I'll text you to set up a time to talk. Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!
