DIRECT SUPPORT STAFF- $20-22/hr- for 24-year-old man with autism in a home-based program in Hatfield, Ma. This is *not* a PCA position, though there are some tasks that are personal care related. Individual must be dependable, personable, and ready to build a positive friendship with this young man. Applicant should be confident, comfortable, and proactive assisting with behavioral interventions both physical and non. ***Looking to hire someone for the following schedule: Monday 3p-8p Wednesday 3p-8p Thursday 12p-8p Saturdays 10a-4p *more hours available for staff outages etc. Duties to include: -Recreational activities such as biking, kayaking, scootering etc. -Assistance with vocational recycling program. -Volunteer outings -Be willing to adapt to this role; including using iPad programs for communication. -Comfortable and confident assisting with behavioral interventions both physical and non. -Autism experience a plus, but willing to train the right individual **Applicants MUST not smoke (allergies) and have a license and vehicle to get to and from work.
