OVERVIEW: The Facilities Assistant will assist the Facilities Manager with maintenance on all of the facilities managed by Family Promise of Spokane. POSITION DUTIES Order supplies needed for all facilities for maintenance purposes Work with volunteers on projects, set up, train, and clean up. Maintaining all help desk needs of facilities in a timely manner Manage safety of company and attend all safety meetings: Upkeep MSDS with Front Desk personnel Create, manage, and maintain tool inventory. Perform routine maintenance tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to: Changing Air Filters Inspecting Fire Extinguishers Cleaning Intake Grills, Maintaining and inspecting sprinkler systems Weed Eating, Snow & Ice Removal Landscaping & Parking Lot Maintenance Pest Control Snaking drains Rental property maintenance Be flexible in your schedule and when performing jobs. Some jobs may require the Facilities Team to wait or move the workspace at times, which may change your regularly scheduled hours Be available by phone for on-call emergency maintenance calls overnight. Assist Facilities Manager with larger facilities projects when needed Completes all tasks while following Family Promise’s Core Values: Be Non-Judgemental, Be Respectfully Be Compassionate, Be Present, Be Competent, Be Empowering, Be a Good Neighbor Other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager. QUALIFICATIONS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must have: GED or High School diploma, preferred. 1-2 years of general construction experience. Experience turning apartments Experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, a plus Ability to lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift over 100 lbs. Following Washington L&I Guidelines. Has a Valid Driver's License and a Clean Driving Record. Has reliable transportation (occasionally you will be asked to drive your own vehicle for jobs).
