Greendale Home Fashions specializes in producing and distributing cushions, toss pillows, dog beds and other home furnishings. GHF is looking for a General Maintenance Laborer. The person filling this position can be employed part-time or as an independent contractor. Total hours for the position will fluctuate based on need. Ideal applicant will have a flexible schedule to complete maintenance as needed. There will be immediate needs such as fiber filling machine repair and longer term building issues to resolve such as dock maintenance and other building projects. Skills needed: • General knowledge of electrical systems. • General knowledge of mechanical processes. • Ability to problem solve and fix fiber filling machines. No specific training or knowledge is necessary for these machines. • Periodic maintenance of the warehouse and machines. • Forklift operation (training provided) • Compliance with safety procedures This position can be a full time if applicant is willing to perform warehouse duties related to production. These duties may include packing, bulk order fulfillment, and other general labor necessary.
