Description
Mindful Employers is hosting “Ecosystem Thinking to Improve Your Impact”, a series of conversations to evolve the way we work by examining interdependcies and impact for greater good. For many, the word ‘ecosystem’ brings forth visions of biology, the ocean, or forests. The concept of an ecosystem has evolved in recent years as we examine and become more aware of our intrinsic ties with nature - our interdependency. Individuals, businesses, and communities can each be viewed as ecosystems because the choices we make and the actions we take have impact beyond the individual - on our systems. To impact these broader systems positively requires a shift from extraction to regeneration. It begins with you, the individual. Then it flows to your employees, co-workers, customers, suppliers, investors, the communities you work in, and the planet. These are the stakeholders in your ecosystem. In this session we will explore tools and communications to track and measure the impact of your business practices on the community and the Earth. This will be a highly interactive discussion geared at learning, practicing, and sharing the wisdom and insights from those who participate. We are creating an intimate discussion circle capped at 10 people. How do we intentionally hold space for Community and the Earth as we move from extraction to regeneration in business? This session will focus on community and the Earth as key stakeholders in the evolution of business. We can no longer afford to ignore our impact on humanity and the planet. The way we have been working will no longer serve us in the future. The evolution of work requires a shift in our mindsets and language, and it includes measurable action on what matters most. As we move from scarcity to abundance thinking, we will explore some of the latest tools and methods available to weave this transformative work into your daily practices. We have decades of data proving that aligning with nature is more profitable for business and human beings in the short and long term. These practices also lead to better relationships with every stakeholder in your business ecosystem. Join us on Wednesday, November 2nd at the New England Ocean Cluster, Portland, Maine at 9:00-10:30 am. Pricing includes coffee/tea and a light breakfast. Register here.
