Description
Hello Southeast Oklahoma Math Teachers’ Circle! We are so excited to return for our second meeting of the Math Teacher's Circle for AY 22-23! Last time, we enjoyed sharing a meal with you, catching up on news, and then having a great time sharing our love of all things math! This month, Brigit Minden, Oklahoma State Department of Education, Director of Secondary Mathematics has a great evening planned! "Order in the Chaos: Number Theory and Structure" Hmm...please join us to find the order! We all need a break to be challenged and to do something we love, and this is your invitation! Dinner will be provided so please join us as we gather to meet old friends and make new friends! Along with the great conversation, food, learning new perspectives on math manipulatives, and prizes, you will also earn 1.25 hours of professional development. Near the end of the meeting, we'll ask you to verify your email address to insure you will receive your PD certificate...and then it will be time for a chance to win door prizes! The week before the event, a last-minute reminder about the event will be emailed to you. We are so excited to be part of the Math Teachers’ Circle network and hope you will join us! It is going to be a night to remember!!! Reserve your place by registering on Eventbrite. See you Tuesday, November 8th, at 6:00 pm in the Lanoy Education Building, Room 101, on the ECU campus. YOU are a member of a professional community of K-12 mathematic teachers and people who just enjoy doing math! The mission of Math Teachers' Circle is to offer the opportunity to work on rich mathematical problems to enrich knowledge and experience with math and to build relationships with others! Found on the Math Teachers' Circle national website, you can see our Circle is part of a nationwide movement to celebrate math! Go Oklahoma!
