Description

Transformation unapologetically asks us to shed old ways, old parts of ourselves and our lives, especially those that have become a burden. With transformation comes healing and wholeness. Transformation is not about transcending; it's about moving through the watery depths of our pain and confronting our fears and doubts. Death and rebirth is an important cycle that is seen in nature constantly, and it’s also something that is mirrored within us. We are always going through our own process of shedding, releasing, and rebirthing ourselves as we travel along the journey of life. This is a time to honor the “deaths” that we have all experienced throughout the year. It is a time to make peace with all the things we have needed to let go of and to celebrate the cycle of the new. Celebrating death is also about celebrating life and honoring and giving thanks to the departed souls who touched your life and to the life you are blessed to be living. Whatever “deaths” you have experienced this year, whether it be the death of ideas, loved ones, attitudes, relationships, dreams, and so on, this is the perfect time to honor the shift and to honor the new energy that will now be welcomed into your life. The veil between the living and the dead is also said to be the thinnest due to the Sun’s position in the deep and intuitive sign of Scorpio. Scorpio energy welcomes in transformation and honors the cycles of death and rebirth. It is also a powerful time for strengthening your intuition and connection to the Divine, eternal flame within. Yoga = Union Union of the mind with body. Union of breath paired to movement. In yoga we use the breath to move energy in the body. One breath, one movement. Breath (pranayama) paired with the sacred body alignments (asana) allows the break-up of blockages in the physical and energetic sheaths. This pairing of breath and movement can begin to allow free-flowing energy through the channels of the body, clearing stagnant energy. This class is accessible to all bodies. Offering variations for any level of experience. We help you to meet your body where it is. Active Breathwork focuses on moving and releasing energy held in our bodies to improve our well-being. Your body is your home—past, present, and future all at once—and whether you realize it or not, it has been quietly collecting the full spectrum of your experiences. Chronic stress, trauma and painful events or experiences stay with us long after they have transpired. Unresolved, they create blocks and patterns of behavior or thinking that keep us from our highest selves, from reaching professional goals or achieving feelings of peace and contentment that allow our relationships to flourish. Through this practice, you can clear blocks, patterns and behaviors that keep you from you. Clearing the energy, releasing what is heavy, painful, or stagnant, creates space for what wants to come through you—just like weeding a garden or cleaning your house. Whether you are new to breathwork or have practiced many times, all are welcome. Brewer is a trauma informed Breathwork Facilitator, and Reiki Master Practitioner. Her spiritual journey began when a medical emergency put her on the path of self-discovery and healing and ultimately led her to develop her practice. She sees herself as a lifelong student deepening her practice through ongoing education and exploration. Intuitive and empathetic, she works with clients individually and in group settings. Trish believes—and knows from experience—that healing oneself ripples outward and is committed to donating a meaningful percentage of her time and proceeds to national and community charities. For everyone's safety, participants will be distanced appropriately, and the class size will be limited. Participants are asked to bring yoga mats, blankets, a pillow, and an eye covering. Registration closes at 10 am, EST on Sunday, October 30th. Open your heart to possibilities and join us! Love and Peace, Stephanie & Trish
