As the days become shorter, all around us we can see nature preparing for the darker months, this is a time for us to prepare for the darkness as well. This guided tea ceremony will allow us to clear all that no longer serves us, plant seeds of intention for the year ahead, and honor the cycles of death, transformation, and rebirth. Please bring: A Journal and pen/pencil or any other coloring tools you may feel inspired to bring Anything specific you need to sit on comfortably What is Samhain? Samhain is the most significant of the four quarterly fire festivals, taking place at the midpoint between the fall equinox and the winter solstice. This ancient Celtic spiritual tradition. a Gaelic word pronounced “SAH-win”, is usually celebrated from October 31 to November 1 to welcome in the harvest and usher in “the dark half of the year.” Celebrants believe that the barriers between the physical world and the spirit world break down during Samhain, allowing more interaction between humans and denizens of the Otherworld. During this time of year, hearth fires in family homes were left to burn out while the harvest was gathered.
