Hey folks, George Jano and the feels, a well-established Baltimore based band, is currently seeking/auditioning for a Keyboardist. All are welcome to apply. Must have pro experience, and samples of previous work to be considered. Must have the ability to learn songs and practice from home(music charts provided) and come prepared to rehearsal once a week in Essex, MD. The ability or willingness to sing back up vocals is highly preferred but not a dealbreaker. George Jano Is listed as Americana/BluesRock/IndieFolk. But is not limited to just that. There’s an influence of Soul, R&B, southern rock, alternative, funk, Latin, a little bit of jam/groove, and even hip-hop.  Regular paying gigs to start In January 2023, Following the release of George Jano’s new album, Under The Sun, Vol.2 The band is a four piece band and the keys play a very big part in the song arrangements and overall sound. The keys parts at times are in front, can be busy but very fun and by no means a back up role in the band. For a player that can comfortably improv solos, You’ll find a lot of room for creativity. But at the bare minimum we are looking for a keys player who can play the parts as written.   The ideal candidate will be within a half hour of the practice location In Essex. Have reliable transportation. Also willing to travel up to an hour Radius from Baltimore for gigs.  carpooling always available. Extra travel is always compensated for, and Compensation for gigs is always agreed upon, guaranteed, And paid Immediately after gigs. Must be reliable/responsible at managing personal schedules, and communicating with management Regarding availability and unavailability. Except for a 2 to 3 week  span in February where George will be touring in the south east, Regular gigging will be almost every week starting in mid January. Keyboardist that are already in an Equally active band are not ideal,  since we plan to be very busy the next 6 to 8 months. That being said, the band is Very welcome to and highly supportive of any Personal projects. There’s room to grow alongside of us. Band does not play primarily originals, We often go half and half on the common 3hr gigs. But we are certainly not on the cover band circuit and not limited to cover band venues.
