Description

Link To Online Auction: We are liquidating the Humphrey Historical Museum in Evergreen CO. This online auction will focus on the Native American and Mexican antiques in the home, in addition to MANY other vintage and antique items as well! The online auction will run from Thursday Oct 20th 7am - Wed Oct 26th. Pick up days are at the museum on Friday Oct 28th and Saturday Oct 29th from 11am-3pm each day. Not sure how Online Auctions and bidding works? Let us give you an example! On our site the staring bid for an item is always $5. Let's say you're interested but wouldn't want to pay more than $20 for the item, so you enter $20 in the bid box (this is called a proxy or maximum bid). The system will then automatically place your current bid at $6 (raising the starting bid of $5 by the minimum increment of $1). If someone else then bids $7, this automatic process will continue to make you the “highest bidder” until the bid reaches your $20 starting proxy bid. At this point you will receive an “outbid” email or text notification. You now have the option to raise your proxy bid and compete with other bidders. If no one challenges your bid of $6 before the end of the auction, you will only pay $6, not the full $20. This feature allows you to compete for an item without constantly monitoring and manually entering bids. Note: Other bidders cannot see your proxy bid just like you can't see theirs. You can raise or lower your proxy at any time by simply entering a new amount in the bid box. ***Still not sure? The very first lot is a practice area- feel free to bid and get comfortable with the auction process at absolutely NO commitment *** We also, we have filled the on-site gift shop with overflow items from the museum, it is now almost exclusively museum items, so plan to leave extra time to pop in there for more treasures!
