The cart associate/technician position offers a fast paced environment, flexibility and great Benefits! Manually move carts and transport using mechanized equipment or by hand, some mechanical experience preferred. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Manually move carts throughout departures, baggage claim, and parking/garage, area to our cart collection areas (vending units or cart track). Transport carts using mechanized equipment or by hand following established routes to ensure revenue is generated and customers have access to luggage carts. Adhere to cart replenishment inventory protocol for rental mechanized equipment. Clean and maintain functional wheelchairs to ensure they are always available for customers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines and wheel chair pusher company management. Inspect and perform maintenance on equipment. Complete and submit all necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner. Perform routine cleaning of carts, CMU’s, EQR’s, cart tracks, locks, keys, and moving equipment. Learn and practice safe work habits thus assuring safety to self, co-workers, company equipment, airport property, passengers and visitors. General customer service to assist passengers navigating throughout the airport. Possess strong innate work habits and perform the job in an honest, reliable, and a professional manner. Effectively communicate with peers, maintenance and management to improve business operations. Adaptable to operational change. Perform other duties as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS Six month successful work experience (unless currently a student). Some mechanical experience Open scheduling availability required, including weekends and holidays. Displays confidence and competence in a fast paced environment. Strong customer service and comfortable speaking to the general public. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Physical ability, manual dexterity needed to lift a minimum of 75-100lbs to move 15 carts simultaneously Walk & stand for duration of shift CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Ability to get an Airport Badge required Valid driver's license Experience Preferred Some mechanical experience Previous work experience preferred Licenses & Certifications Required Drivers License Airport Badge Skills Required Communication Customer Service Preferred Troubleshooting Time Management Cleaning Behaviors Required Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Preferred Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest
