Have you ever seen that Chevy EV commercial with the Fleetwood Mac song “Everywhere”? Great song and it is a shame they cheesed it all up with a car commercial. Still, it brings you to mind. It feels happy & best friend-y. I miss those days. We sure know how to fight. I think between the drinking & the drugging, we lost our way. Once again. Although I am dying inside, I am confident that we will find our way once again. I don’t judge us for the ways we choose to cope. The pain from the accident was unbearable at times. Our injuries were so severe. I wasn’t even sure if I would even make it at times & I was worried sick about you. I think if they would have allowed us to heal together we would have far less nerve damage. Perhaps we would still be together today. It was an impossible situation. I don’t judge us for the ways we choose to cope. I always hoped that no matter what happened, you knew in your heart that I love you. You told me once that no matter what you would always love me. I believed you because I knew I would always love you. I can still feel a glimpse from that moment & I remember your face. It breaks my heart for us. We got a second chance and we blew it. We were different people. The accident changed us, time changed us, we didn’t recognize the us that once said, “no matter what”. The pain, the bitterness & the anger took over. The drugs & alcohol took over and we lost our way. Again. And through it all, whenever I hear “Everywhere” you still come to mind. In my heart & in my soul, I love you & believe that someday, somehow, we will find our way back to each other. I am working on myself and working on us & I am hoping that you are doing the same. I doubt you would check here but if you do see this, I wanted you to know that I love you no matter what. Bridgette
