Hey Friends! South Hayward Parish needs help! To run the food pantry efficiently, we need 16 volunteers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We have two shifts available with 8 spaces available for each one Prepackaging – 8:00 am to 12:00 pm https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4baeae2ea2fdc61-food2 Food distribution – 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4baeae2ea2fdc61-food In the prepackaging stage, volunteers build boxes and fill them with a variety of foods received from the food bank as well as food recovered from local grocery stores. In the food distribution stage, volunteers finish us the prepackaging and load the boxes of food into the cars of those in need in an assembly line setup. As you can see when you click on each link, our need for volunteers is critical. We need 16 to run efficiently and currently have only 2-3 on a good day.
