La Grange's Speeding Enforcement Praised In Hinsdale

HINSDALE, IL — Earlier this week, a Hinsdale resident complaining about the lack of speeding enforcement on her street noted how La Grange handles the issue on one of its main thoroughfares. Hinsdale resident Jennifer London said she and her husband, Andrew London, have appealed to Hinsdale for enforcement on North York Road for more than a decade — to no avail. At a meeting Tuesday, she told the Hinsdale Village Board that La Grange does a good job with enforcement on La Grange Road, "La Grange has been consistent on policing La Grange Road on the south side of the tracks going into town," London said. "People know that if they speed, they will get a ticket. People are very careful. There has been a regular police presence. If people see others being ticketed, they realize they are being watched." Hinsdale officials responded to the couple's concerns and said what the village could do.
