It really doesn't matter what terminology the NRA uses with its members. They are not law. The second poster says that the 2nd Amendment was written while we were a band of dirt poor, starving farmers that were under occupation of the Crown. The US Constitution was created AFTER the war with England was over and the first ten amendments were added in 1791. We may have still been dirt poor farmers, but the Crown was out of the picture. The first ten amendments (Bill of Rights) dealt mainly with safeguards against an oppressive government. They were to ensure that the new government could not restrict the population and provided amendments for free speech, religious gatherings, public gatherings, gun ownership, restrictions on government, using your home or property, or harassing the people without due process. The Supreme Court has already ruled that a 'well armed militia' is not a basis for the right to bear arms. And yes, you can say that Trump 'stacked' the courts with extremists all with political agendas... you can also say that he simply appointed judges that were later approved by the US Senate. The latest judge was appointed by Biden and approved by a democratic Senate. She has an equally extremist agenda. At least the judges that were nominated and confirmed under Trump were not selected based on race and gender, but rather qualifications.
