Description
Jamal is a 3 year old male domestic shorthair; neutered; microchipped; up to date on all vaccines; litter box trained; friendly but does have a proclivity for biting short peoples knee caps.
He is playful, rambunctious, intelligent and super sweet. When you’re standing, he likes to sit between your feet and purr because he’s just happy to be there.
I adopted him from the Jefferson County SPCA in September because i thought my resident cat was bored/ lonely and needed a companion (I clearly misread the room because she hates him). The SPCA wouldn’t allow me to exchange him, or return him unless I bought another cat. So if you planned on going to the spca anytime soon to adopt a friendly cat for $150, please consider Jamal instead for $0.
I have followed every recommended step for introducing and integrate new cats (he still primarily resides in my guest bedroom). Unfortunately, my resident cat has not warmed up to him at all. When he starts crying in his bedroom, she goes to his door and starts smacking it and hissing until he stops. Occasionally, he’ll slip past me at the door, and it’s needed with her attacking him. I believe it has something to do with his size as he is a pretty large cat.
He would do well in a home with school aged kids! He loves to play fetch- I’ll include some of his favorite toys! He does love bite pretty often but in the month that he’s been here with me he’s gotten a lot more gentle with them.
He’s a hilarious, loving cat and I want him to have the safe, stress-free, loving life he deserves.
All vet paperwork and microchip information will be included along with his favorite toys!
