Salutations! Any Eugene/Springfield writers out there looking for the inspiration and accountability of a writing group? Yes? Let's start one! Ideally, I'd love to connect with a group of local writers who would be into meeting up once a month at a cafe or brewery to read, critique and discuss each others writing. I would like to create a fun, creative and laidback environment were writers of various genres and levels of experience can feel comfortable sharing, giving/getting feedback on their projects and creating accountability for themselves. I am currently writing a novel and working on a collection of short stories. All genres and experience levels are welcome! Group would take place on a Monday or Tuesday evening and last for 1-2 hours depending on attendance. We would all read each others work beforehand and offer feedback in a roundtable fashion. Feedback will be laid back and based on the wants of the author. If you don't have any current projects but want to join to get inspiration, you are welcome too! I want this to be a supportive and fun environment that promotes (above all) community, inspiration, and connections :) If you're interested please reach out and tell me about yourself and what you write!
