Description

As a Mail Sorter, you will cross-train in general material handling, pallet and sack loading, line feeding, or induction scanning. The Mail Sorter prepares gaylords and arranges pallets to best utilize package flow on conveyor and utilizing appropriate pallet for each particular customer, followed by inspecting loaded pallets and closing and staging for shipping. The Mail Sorter utilizes RF scanner to scan the pallet ID, scan parcels, and place packages into the correct containers, stacking packages on conveyor with labels visible. Mail Sorters may also measure packages to determine if any additional postage necessary and to determine if a packages quality for Priority Balloon NMF or Oversize and flag correctly in system. Skills and abilities: Ability to move throughout the warehouse 100% of the time  Understanding of RF scanner and labeling technologies Ability to operate a pallet jack Excellent attention to detail  Must be available to work Overtime as required Pay and schedule: $17.50 per hour for 1st shift – 8:00am-4:30pm, Sunday-Thursday $18.75 per hour for 2nd shift – 4:00pm-12:30am, Tuesday-Saturday Weekends, Saturday & Sunday $19.50 per hour for 1st shift – 8:00am-4:30pm $20.75 per hour for 2nd shift – 4:00pm-12:30am
