The real cause for inflation is the same as it has been since money was first coined... And it is GREED! Look back in time and there were local grocery stores that created competition, as there were food coops and mid-sized wholesalers that drove down food costs. Today there are 5 major food suppliers at the manufacturer's level, and 3 groceries stores at the consumer level (that's presuming the Albertson/Kroger merger is successful). These 8 entities have raised food cost 28% while incurring a 8.9% rise in those production costs. These companies, along with the Big 3 in oil and energy, are enjoying RECORD PROFITS Everyone of these companies are run by Republicans. WAKEUP Vote Democratic
