Join us at the Huffman Family Farm Saturday, November 5th for a class on how to make your own Calendula carrier oil. This beginner level class will cover the many medicinal benefits of the Calendula flower and how to use it to make your own carrier oil to use in salves and balms.
The class will begin with a brief introduction to the calendula flower and the basics of making your own carrier oil, salves or balms. Attendees will then be able to create their own 8 oz bottle of carrier oil using an assortment of dried calendula, lavender flowers and olive oil.
A demonstration will be done to show how to make a basic salve using the carrier oil and small samples of the finished product will be given to attendees.
