We will need a headcount to send to Enzian catering* Join us on Friday, October 21st from 10 AM-1 PM at Enzian Theatre for a free, sober, spooky Halloween brunch gathering! Founded in 1985, Enzian is a single screen cinema café and home of the Florida Film Festival. A member-supported, non-profit cultural organization, Enzian exists to entertain, inspire, educate, and connect the community through film. We recognize that Halloween can be a tough time to celebrate and gather with peers in spaces that don't include alcohol. Anyone 18+ is welcome, regardless of their relationship to alcohol. Starting at 10 AM, we'll be welcoming our friends, and enjoying some light brunch (bagels, pastries, muffins, fruit). At 10:30, a showing of The Addams Family (1991) will begin! Following the movie, we'll be doing a vote for the winners of our costume contest! Winners of the costume contest will be awarded adorable Squishmallows! To help ensure the comfort of guests, we will be designating "mask on" sections and "mask optional" sections for the theatre. Our presenting sponsor for this event is Pineapple Health! The Addams Family is a 1991 American supernatural black comedy film based on the characters from the cartoon created by cartoonist Charles Addams and the 1964 TV series produced by David Levy. Directed by former cinematographer Barry Sonnenfeld in his screen directing debut, the film stars Anjelica Huston, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance as Morticia Addams, Raul Julia as Gomez Addams, and Christopher Lloyd as Fester Addams. The film focuses on a bizarre, macabre, aristocratic family who reconnect with what they believe to be a long-lost relative, Gomez's brother Fester Addams, who is actually the adopted son of a loan shark intending to swindle the Addams clan out of its vast wealth and fortune.
