Guest speaker Rick Strait, the NRCS New Mexico State Soil Scientist will do 4 dye tests revealing water infiltration on agricultural fields of no-till, mixed-till, conventional tillage, and rangeland. Field tour also includes sites of local fields enrolled in the Colorado Department of Agriculture's STAR+ Program for soil health. Meet at USDA Field Office at 102 Par Place, Montrose, CO 81401 at 9:15am. Tour bus leaves at 9:30am and will return to USDA Office by 1:30pm. This is a free event.
