Life isn’t fair—and neither is this. At an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet, the place where you sit, and the meal that you eat, are determined by the luck of the draw—just as in real life some of us are born into relative prosperity and others into poverty. This interactive event will help you see hunger in a whole new way. Participants will pick a ticket from a bowl with the options low class, middle class, and high class. Which ever class they get on their ticket is the type of food those participants will eat. Once seated at a table with their food and class, they will eat and hold discussions on their experience at the event and thoughts about the distribution of resources throughout the world.
