IFMC is a citizen action group dedicated to education and advancing community-owned fiber-optic broadband.
In April, we did a call to action to accomplish several things:
Bring awareness that the administration was negotiating with Spectrum (Charter) and Frontier to bring you monopoly Internet instead of competitive high-speed Internet for everyone.
In May, we did a presentation to the Planning, Development, and Environment Committee, which methodologically asked for
Asked the County to gather public input Put together a Broadband Strategic Plan; and Consider all the options, like Open-Access, to bring more competition.Since May, the County has reported nothing.
It is time to let the County know how you feel about your Internet access. It could be the price, the lack of options, the lack of quality connectivity, the reliability, or something else.
