Chimmy 1 Y/O male Shollie (German Shepherd/Collie) Chimmy is so cute, I mean who can resist those ears and his bow ties?? He is always catching an adoring look. Even from mom and I see him every day! We love Chimmy so much, and as hard as it feels to rehome him, it is what’s best as we are facing hard times and having to downsize. Chimmy is a smart energetic dog, needing a yard and an equally energetic companion. He loves his walks, playing ball and most of all tug of war. He is great company on hikes, camping, or just plain enjoying an evening out back. Chimmy is a large dog with no regard to smaller animals or people; he wants to play just the same. Chasing the cat is so much fun until he gets the swat from the cat, small dogs he’d like to get rowdy with but doesn’t realize his 80lbs to their 15lbs is not welcomed. We have been working with Chimmy on training basic commands such as “come, sit, wait, place” and most important for him is “off” to remind him of these boundaries. Finding a trainer that could teach us how to train was harder than you’d think. But we found s trainer finally and she did 5 private lessons with us. With this training package he has unlimited access through June 2023 to her group classes which take place 4 days a week in Petaluma, Rohnert Park, or Santa Rosa. I hope you see, we don’t want to get rid of our dog, and we definitely do not want him to fall into the system of the humane society or shelters. We want to find the right forever home that will be invested in his training and activities that will continue to build his “good boy” confidence
