We are looking for an experienced Concrete / Masonry Laborer to join our team, where they will be responsible for designing and building concrete forms and CMU walls with construction machines or hand-mixing tools. Hourly Rate $16-$20hr depending on experience. This job will require the worker to perform tasks involved in excavation, job site cleanup, organization of job parts, operating machinery, power tools, and hand tools. There will also be a need to excavate, form, pour and finish concrete pads to accommodate electrical equipment. May operate hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites; dig trenches; excavations support; backfill operations support; decontamination support; traffic control; clean up rubble and debris; and remove hazardous waste materials. May assist other craft workers. Responsible for set-ups and break downs of project sites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Dig trenches Backfill excavations Compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes Designing and building forms Rebar installation Setting up the forms Pouring concrete Mold expansion joints and edges Finish Concrete Clean and prepare construction sites Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones Requirements and skills Proven work experience as a Concrete Laborer or similar role Ability to perform strenuous tasks with hands Ability to kneel, bend and lift heavy materials Ability to measure accurately and read specifications Minimum Qualifications: One year of industry-related experience. Must be able to operate construction tools. Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly. Must have dependable transportation and valid driver’s license.
