Great Dane and blue tick coon hound mix up for adoption. His name is Duke. Male Not Vaccinated. Not Fixed. Rehoming Fee: 25$ A year old or less Lives in the city of Mora Looking for a good home for Duke- preferably a farm or at least a place with a couple of acres for him to run in. He loves zooming! I'd like to request a younger couple adopt Duke. He's a big dog and I feel his best shot at a good life would be with someone in their 20's-40's who can keep up with him. Notes about Duke: 1.He comes when called, has some crate training under his belt (not fully crate trained yet), and house broken. He can get excited and try to jump up on counters/people but retreats when told 'no' enough. Understands 'sit' command but has the habit of trying to 'shake' at the same time. Not sure why he does this. 2. Still has a little separation anxiety. He's getting a lot better dealing with alone time once you spend some time playing/walking with him. May bark a little at first once you crate him for the night but settles down quickly. 3. Duke seems to respect other animals big or small but when he gets excited he ends up knocking everyone and everything over, so be careful. I wouldn't recommend adopting if you have small kids just to be safe- he might send them flying. Duke was picked up from Duluth after his previous owner was about to throw him out on the streets. We don't have the housespace for Duke year-round, so we're temporarily taking care of him until we find a proper owner for him. Duke's a good boy and would love to have a family for Christmas!
