CHAD'S BIO As a kitten, Chad had been dumped on a rural property along with his buddy Doug, and was cared for until they came to us. Sadly, they drifted apart when released to roam free at the shelter; Doug was ready for adventure and Chad preferred cozy hideaway places. Being extremely shy, in late 2020 Chad, now 3 1/2-years old went to a remarkable foster home to help with socialization. Being frightened to start with, he has flourished due to the loving care he has received. He is now confident and has taken over the household; racing up and down the stairs, gleefully chasing cat toys, and when it's nap time, resting in his chair. He's very comfortable with his foster mom and enjoys being picked up for a cuddle, you'll know he's a happy boy when he uses one of his 20+ kitty vocalizations. This highly energized lad is still a bit reluctant with strangers so he'll need a calm and quiet home, ideally with a female kitty that would be a companion and share his enthusiasm for playtime.
