The Production Assembly Tech is entry level into the manufacturing team. (S)he primary job is gluing the foam layers together, inserting into the cases, and various tasks necessary to ship finished products from GPC Inc. The Production Assembly Tech is responsible assembly of foam, and end of day clean-up. (S)he works as a valuable team member, and the position’s focus is on maintaining consistency and timeliness within the production schedule —all while maintaining high quality. This position works under the direction of the Department Manager. Daily Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities: · Using gluing equipment for gluing foam layers together · Inserting foam into cases · Works closely with the Department Manager to ensure consistent progress to meet order demands · Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on all assigned assembly stations. · Problem solving ability Physical Conditions: • Requires routine lifting of 35+ pounds. • Conducts most work in a standing position. • Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping and lifting.
