Maybe, just maybe, it's because he's a career criminal.
He has a long history of legal problems (over 3000 lawsuits). Trump did what he pleased, then left it to his lawyers to bully, drag out forever, declare bankruptcy, pay a small fine, settle "with no admission of guilt", or, occasionally, win. Lots of stuff went under the radar, unnoticed and/or overlooked.
But when you're the President of the United States, NOTHING you do or DID goes unexamined or undissected. So when everyone started looking more closely at Donald John Trump, GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?
