Our client is booked solid and are need of a reliable Skilled Laborer in the Charlotte Metro area to get them through their busy season. This position will be required to complete a variety of home remodeling tasks. It will be your job to ensure that those tasks are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible. It’s imperative that you can perform all assigned tasks without violating our safety procedures and while abiding by all relevant local building codes. We’re looking for candidates who can carry out many different skilled labor tasks with minimal supervision. We’d also prefer candidates who have previous experience in a similar role or those who have completed an apprenticeship in a relevant field, such as electric or plumbing. Responsibilities: Experience in home repairs and remodeling Working knowledge of general carpentry – rough and finish Working knowledge of minor plumbing and minor electrical Utilize a variety of hand and power tools Assist with the operation of heavy machinery Complete many different construction tasks, including drilling, painting, erecting scaffolding, and moving materials from one place to another. Working knowledge of how to replace and repair floor, walls, roofs, cabinets, countertops, and home fixtures Follow all local, state, and federal health and safety standards Requirements: High school diploma or similar Previous experience or the completion of a relevant apprenticeship is preferred Must have clean Background check and drug screening Must have valid driver’s license Must be able to productively work well with minimal supervision Job Type: Temporary 3–4-month assignment. This assignment has the possibility to go longer. Hours: 35-40 hours a week Compensation: $18.75 Paid Weekly
