3 well loved rats need a good home

Description
Want to see whether you would love to have rats as pets? These older rats (males) are a great place to start! This is NOT a sale, and at most there will be $15 rehoming fee. With full cage setup and a starting supply of bedding and food, dishes and water-bottles. These are well-socialized and can be held, and they poke their noses out every day around dinner time looking for a treat (we use chick-pea cheese puffs for example). Soooo cute! A hairless rat, Oliver, always runs his treat to the food bowl, then comes back -- because no harm in asking for another, right? The black rat, Bear, cuddles with his buddies. And the gray rat with red eyes, Leroy, will take long drinks from the water bottle all at once. Rats, of course, have front paws that look like and work like little itty bitty hands. That's a whole different thing (at least for me, being used to dogs or birds before this). Our teenager has had a huge, unexpected, unwanted change in their life and can no longer take care of these dear family members (3rd cycle of having rats), and feels terrible about that. They are getting daily attention, but not what they were used to, and most often by us, the parents, rather than the teen (and we are a poor substitute). So our number one family priority, here, is to have these rats go to a good home. (At one point we were going to fit Oliver with a little red vest that would say "emotional support rat!".) With Craig's List being the wild-wild west of making arrangements, we will have to meet you and trust you to have their best interests in mind. And we expect you'll have to trust us, that we're telling you the whole story about them. Rats do not live that many years, so you may have between 1 and 2 years left with these guys. For the right person/family this will be a very fun thing to do... and definitely a very kind thing to do to give them a good place to be. Let's talk, starting with texting (though I'll also check for emails). Thanks for considering it.
