Our shop is in Vancouver, WA right off Minnehaha. We’re looking for people that share our core values of Go-Getter, Solution Seeker, and Team Player to join the team. The Shop Hand Role We're looking for a part-time shop assistant to work with our shop team to make our shop operations go as smooth as possible. We're looking for someone quick on their feet, can help solve problems, and just make things happen. Our install and project management teams rely heavily on our shop crews to ensure all our internal operations go smooth. This isn't just "an assistant" position, this person is a crucial part of the team that can make a day or night difference. The typical hours for this position are M-F 3PM – 7PM. In this Job, You Will... • Assist in staging and organizing material • Receive material • Keep the material yard cleaned and organized • Misc. Shop Duties • Operate a forklift • Load and unload crew trucks Why might you NOT like this position? The reality of this position is in a few bullet points below: • You will be working in the elements. (Hot sun, or cold rain) • This work is hard. You will pack thousands of pounds of material. • You will be operating a forklift everyday. • You might be asked to stay late, to "make things happen" for the crews. Compensation Our wages are not based on how well you can just do the job. It is based on how well you influence people around you. If you don’t know how to influence people around you, we will invest in teaching you. We have $16 - $25 an hour budgeted for this position, depending on experience and background.
