Hi, I recently purchased a new laptop battery as Dell keeps sending me reminders and I know the battery needs to be replaced. I contacted Dell and they told me which battery I would need for the replacement and I purchased one from the internet for less money than Dell was charging. However, I cannot change the battery myself. How much do you think it will cost to have someone replace the battery for me? Most computer tekkies are asking $$$$$. I know it can be time consuming to remove the back of the laptop as you have to be cautious to pull out the little screws and pop open the back without doing any damage. Once that’s done the battery has to be removed and wires from the motherboard have to be detached from the battery itself. Then new battery get replaced and hopefully everything gets done. I realize it can be a delicate process to get it right but I’m not sure what a fair price is to have this done. Does anyone have an idea how much it should cost to remove the battery and install the new one? Thanks for your advice. Have a happy day and I appreciate your getting back to me on this.
