Description
Sweet pup, PRINCESS, neglected and now to be euthanized Needs out by 10/19 @ 6pm.
Princess will be put down for “struggling in the shelter environment” at MCACC. In other words, she is barking and stressed in her kennel. When we read her notes, we realized that she had not be taken out of her kennel for close to TWO WEEKS! Of course she is stressed in her kennel!
A volunteer rushed to the shelter yesterday to take this beautiful girl out for a looong overdue walk. Here’s what we heard:
Despite being locked in for so long, Princess was calm and walked to the front of the kennel with a wiggly body when she saw me approach with my leash. She walked out of the kennel and immediately gave me kisses! While walking past other kennels, she play bowed and wagged her tail at the dogs. Once we got to the play yard, Princess ran zoomies up and down the fence, stopping to check in with the me and lick my face and arms, enjoying lots of pets all over! We walked through the building without incident, she solicited attention from two female staff and accepted pets all over from them and gave kisses, took treats gently. Princess laid down on the floor in the office for a short break and then walked well back to her kennel.
This girl deserves a chance!
