Hide Tanning Workshop

We are offering a Hide Tanning workshop on November 19th & December 3rd. Students will attend both sessions to complete the tanning process. During these two days of instruction you will learn how to tan a deer or goat hide using the brain tanning method and leaving the fur on. The course includes: - 2 days of instruction with a professional taxidermist - Students will take home their finished hide ($100 value) - All supplies/materials needed to tan the hide ($175+ value) The materials provided are: - Skinning knife - Fleshing knife - Fleshing beam - Apron Students must register by November 7th, so we can place our order for supplies. All supplies provided can be taken home by the participants. Please contact me by email or call/text five one two 9.1.5. four five 2.9 to register. All animals have been humanely sourced from our goat farm. These goats had to be put down due to age or disease/health issues. All deer hides have been sourced from local butchers as a side product of butchering meat for hunters.
