Basset Mix Rehoming

Description

Hello! I have some sort of a basset hound mix that is in help of finding a new home! Her name is Lady Marmalade and we believe she is probably about 9 months old. We were told that someone in Compton, CA had a 6 month old basset hound puppy. Upon arriving we were immediately greeted by a 50-60lb bundle of love. She is SO SO sweet but isn't at all what we had expected to be adopting, and certainly was not the little puppy anymore that we were shown in pictures. We took her home because to be honest she was most certainly not in the best housing situation, furthermore Ive owned large dogs before and didn’t foresee it being an issue. However, I have reason to believe she was an outdoor dog only at her previous home- and is constantly accidentally much too strong with my kiddos. I have a 3 month old and a 5 year old that have accidentally gotten injured multiple times. She doesn’t bite and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body!! She is a SWEETHEART! But she has no idea how strong she can be; and unfortunately I cannot risk my kids safety any longer to continue to teach her. We have had her since August, and other than her strength she is such a joy! Marmalade is potty trained and crate trained, fully vaccinated and also microchipped! She walks well on a gentle leader leash. Ill supply her new owners with everything I have! I have a couple of large high quality dog beds, her food bowls, ear/paw wipes, the food we have left, her bones, her leashes. Everything I have is yours! She needs a home either no children or with children I would say probably over the age of around 10. She does LOVE kids and babies however- like SO much; and if you have a large gated yard or the time to train her I do think she could still do well. Her energy level is moderate, she will absolutely couch potato with you- but she is a big young dog who needs at least one to two good walks daily! Im asking a rehoming fee of $300. Please text or call Haydn at to get more information or set up a meeting! :) thank you so much!
