Please give Max the cat a new home

Max the cat appeared on our property this summer. Assuming he was a feral cat, I befriended him to be able to take him in to be fixed and allow him to be a barn can. He warmed up to me rapidly once I started feeding him. Lo and behold, the vet discovered he'd already been neutered. Someone probably dumped him. Max is a good sized, handsome, loving fellow that evidently was someone's house cat. He's mocha and cream colored with blue eyes. He desperately wants to be in the house, spending all his time sleeping on a chair on the porch, even tho only having been fed in the barn. He has a big personality and bounds across the yard with you to be at your side. He purrs and rubs against you and is gentle when handled. The problem is, our smaller female cat (who also appeared out of the woods) is terrified of him and hisses and growls whenever he comes near. He's become very comfortable around the house and is now assuming ownership of the premises and has gone after our cat twice. He can't stay because he's going to hurt her and I can't let her out anymore. He would be a great pet in a single cat household. Please help save Max!!!
