This is an introductory class taught in a small group setting by Verde Galerie co-owner, Iris Oliveira. In this two-hour class, participants will learn design techniques to create a beautiful arrangement with local and seasonal plants and flowers and be able to take home their masterpieces. Your ticket will include all materials and tools as well as Filipino and Brazilian light bites by Jacqueline Calvar Oliveira, Verde Galerie's co-owner. By the end of the evening, you will have a better understanding of floral design principles, know how to care for flowers and how to confidently use tools such as a floral knife and clippers. With the tips and tricks you’ll get in this class, you'll confidently be whipping up elegant centerpieces just in time for the holiday season! More about Iris: Iris has over 30 years of experience working in the floral design industry. He's worked at McArdles, Beechwood Florist, Tulips of Greenwich, and Colony Florist. He's also worked private events like weddings, birthdays, and bridal showers. In 2018, he opened Verde Galerie in Downtown Stamford with his wife, Jacqueline.
