The Manhattan Hy-Vee Wellness Team will be visiting your workplace this summer! Sign up for your biometric screening today! Know your numbers to know your risk! A biometric screening is a combination of measurements that can immediately identify potential risk factors for chronic diseases, like heart disease, hypertension or diabetes.  This health screening will provide you the information you need to be a healthier you. Screenings will be conducted within private screening rooms, located within the school's nurse office. Each screening will include: total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, blood glucose, blood pressure, body fat percentage, waist circumference, height, weight and BMI. You must be fasting 8 to 12 hours prior to the appointment to receive accurate results. Hy-Vee dietitians will be on-site to review your results and provide guidance.  Please come to your appointment well hydrated. Increasing your water intake several days leading up and on the morning of your screening will result in faster and more accurate results. Participants will get snacks & drinks post-screening, courtesy of your friends at Hy-Vee. We look forward to assisting you!
