In 2004 , Chris Cruz was egged on by friends to try a story of his for a talent show. The performance went well , but our hero did not even place third as the story revolved around toilet humor. As a way to defy not placing Chris went back to a different talent show using written material. He placed 2nd , winning 50 dollars , to a high school student he was rich. From that point on Chris Cruz held a "book of rhymes" (Inspired by his favorite rapper and) with him to jot down any joke ideas that may pop up. 5 years later in 2009 Chris Cruz lost his job and was collecting unemployment , it was during this time that his book was nearly filled with an overwhelming amount of jokes. With nothing to lose he decided to give an open mic a shot , and with his culmination of jokes built up had a performance that blew the roof of that packed crowd at Thai Palms in Fresno ca. At this point the comedy bug bite was in , and from here he would go on to lead an illustrious comedy career filled with competition such as the 2009 Tachi palace comedy competition to the 95.7 2014 comedy competition , opening and performing with some of the heroes he watched growing up , Pablo Francisco , Greg Fitzsimmons , Alonzo Bowden and many many more . Now in the year 2022 , Chris Cruz is ready to film a comedy special filled with material accumulated over the years , the best of the best , with the sole intention of putting out the best comedy taping possible.
