Press release from Lake County Sheriff's Office: January 7, 2021 Lake County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 10 people for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the winter holiday traffic enforcement campaign. Additionally, 13 driving with a suspended/revoked driver's license, 38 speeding, and 62 seatbelt citations were issued. The Lake County Sheriff's Office partnered with the Illinois Department of Transportation and law-enforcement throughout Illinois for the enforcement campaign from December 18, 2020 – January 4, 2021. The Illinois Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is administered by IDOT with federal highway safety funds. This press release was produced by Lake County Sheriff's Office.
