Am I the only Irish person in this great city? Looking to start an Irish band and also a folk band --nothing formal of course--let's just take Irish songs and folk songs that are fun (and meaningful) and make them just as fun (and meaningful) in Las Cruces! I do play some guitar, and I am not at all opposed to singing, and in fact, am pretty particular that I always prefer it to be in tune! In order to have any kind of an Irish or folk band we will need several people capable of singing in harmony! We also need someone who plays a Bodrahn, as well as a piper of some talent. Most certainly, we will also need a second and better guitar player than I ever was! This would be for afternoon wine tastings, brewery beer drinking, weddings, funerals, and any other event where music with lots of laughter is required! (Now, if you're offended, you haven't ever been to an Irish Catholic wake!) So, please understand, this is not going to be for pelvis gyrating at bar closing time! If you think you might like to be a part of this up-and-coming one-and-only-Irish and Folk band in Las Cruces, NM, send me your info! ANYONE ACCEPTED! ALL THAT MATTERS IS THAT YOU ARE IRISH AT HEART (AT LEAST DURING PRACTICE AND PERFORMANCE) RACE, COLOR, CREED, GENDER UNIMPORTANT, AND THAT YOU ADD SOMETHING OF VALUE TO THE BAND!
